11-year-old Worthy and her older sister Kalista have received millions of views and likes on their makeover videos on the popular social media platform.

Budding hairstylist and her big sister become TikTok’s latest viral sensation

Kalista Hesch had her little sister, Worthy Rigelsky, over for a sleepover on the eve of her 19th birthday. “We sat in front of the camera with a trending song on TikTok; I pressed record and just let her do her thing and thought nothing of it,” she told Good Morning America.”The next day I woke up on my birthday and the video hit 1 million views!!”

Worthy, who has Down syndrome, was adopted from China when she was five years old

Three months after their first video went viral, and the duo’s TikTok is filled with videos of Worthy doing her big sister’s hair. “When it comes to Worthy’s skills they honestly just come to her naturally,” Hesch said. “She is so smart and so attentive so she just watched our momma and I doing our hair and makeup and wanted to do the same! She’s a natural! One day we were making a TikTok and I handed her a straightener (that was off of course) and she started giving me curls with a straightener.”

The San Antonio family adopted Worthy, who has Down syndrome, from China when she was five years old.

“I would not trade my relationship with Worthy for the entire world. She is so kind, and to me she is the closest thing to perfection in this world,” Hesch told Good Morning America. “If our family did not adopt her she could be anywhere in this world, but she is with us and I could not be happier. Worthy is worthy of being loved, she is worthy of having a family, she is worthy of all the good things this life has to offer her. I love her so much and I can honestly say other than my awesome husband, Worthy is my best friend.”

Hesch told GMA she thinks the videos are so popular because of the positivity they spread. “Worthy is joy. On a platform such as TikTok where every other swipe is hate or opposition people get to pause on our page to breathe and experience the joy that is Worthy.”

And being the protective sister she is, Hesch said they only make videos when Worthy wants to. And the tools? They’re unplugged.

“Worthy honestly loves it so much, she told GMA.“If she isn’t feeling it we take a break until she’s ready. Worthy is 99.9% happy all of the time but the other .1% is what keeps her human, or else I would actually think she is an angel from heaven above.”

Kalista Hesch and her 11-year-old sister, Worthy Rigelsky, have an unbreakable bond

The duo has taken social media by storm thanks to their fun videos, which feature them dancing and having fun around their home in Wisconsin.

“Worthy is, if I could describe her in one word, she’s just ‘pure joy,’ that’s always the first word that comes to mind,” Kalista tells PEOPLE (the TV Show!) of her sister, who was adopted from China six years ago by their parents.

“She definitely has her moments, she’s human too so she’s not always 100 percent happy, but I would say 99 percent of the time she’s always just pure joy and just happy.”

“She’s a little spunky one, she’s high energy,” she adds of Worthy. “She’s like the sweetest thing ever but she definitely has a sassy side.”

Now Worthy has been showing off her hairstyling and makeup skills to an audience of millions on TikTok, and she often uses Kalista as a model.

“She’s just like a little perfectionist and she’s just always been, like I said she’s just pure love, so she just loves touching, she’s just so lovable, and when anyone comes over she just grabs a hairbrush and immediately starts brushing their hair,” Kalista says of her sister.
